Example:

Continuous dosing of 55 mL. Exchange units with volumes of 20 mL and 10 mL.

Key:

End volume V = 55 mL

Exchange unit 1 V

= 20 mL

Exchange unit 2 V

= 10 mL

V-DIS = 20 mL V-DIS = 10 mL

V-LIM = OFF V-LIM = 15 mL

rate ↑ = 25.5 mL/min rate ↑ = 25.5 mL/min

rate ↓ = 60 mL/min rate ↓ = 30 mL/min

The rate ↑ of 25.5 mL/min is the highest possible value for the predefined configuration.
